Wyze cam securityspy 1080p#About a month ago it stopped letting me view the history that went back about 8 days. The Wyze Cam v2 is a full-fledged security camera that comes with 1080p HD video recording and the ability to tag motion This camera has full pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) capabilities, a free mobile app for If your home internet connection goes out, youll still be able to view the footage from the camera as long as your Wi-Fi network stays up. I had a micro SD card in the device doing all my recording all the time. I am hoping I am just overlooking something that makes this solution work. I have been using a wise cam V2 for the last year. As soon as the Unifi comes out though, the DBell is getting replaced. Mine is only 720p, but they may have a 1080p model by now. It sends the RTSP stream over wifi (N, not AC) to my NAS for recording. Wyze cam securityspy install#I'm not eager to install OpenPIC or some other firmware on the cams as I understand it introduces other issues like losing 1080P as well as Auto-Night Vision. My DBell cam runs 24/7 using the existing wiring for my doorbell. It doesn't appear to be an issue with the cam as I am able to access the feed via the Wyze phone app as well as VLC RTSP on my laptop when SS shows them offline. Since then, I havent been able to get HKSV to store 4K video again. I went back to 1080p for Scrypted because SecuritySpy, or my Mac was freezing up. So, its probably the same data the camera is sending out. Is there any way I can use the PTZ functionality of the Wyze cams in SecuritySpy?Īlso, SecuritySpy seems to lose its connectivity to these cams every so often (every few hours for a few mins). I use SecuritySpy as an NVR, and so Scrypted connected to SecuritySpy for video data and there are no specific settings I change. But in doing so, I do not have PTZ functionality. In Security Spy, I can config/display these cams only with manual config. I have several Wyze PTZ cameras with the Wyze RTSP-enabled firmware. Day and night 1080p video is clear and sharp with minimal distortion, and two-way audio communication is clean and loud enough. While the pricing model seems steep, I like the UI and functionality it offers and would be willing to pay if everything worked flawlessly. The Wyze Cam V2 offers a wealth of features, including motion tracking, two-way audio, free cloud storage and a microSD card slot for storing video locally and enabling continuous recording. I am trying to determine if SecuritySpy will serve my needs before I purchase. ![]()
